Office double barn door upgrade! The owners had basic in-swing doors that were taking up too much space in the room. I built a set of mahogany barn doors that matched the rain glass and color of the nearby front door. We finished it off with soft close on the doors as well. The barn doors not only free up some space in the office, but it makes a beautiful statement when you walk in the house. I love it!! After years of wear and tear on the previous doors it was time for some upgraded and newly built ones. This built in office has 72” of desk space creating a comfortable working area, while the cabinets provide much needed storage. It also has a lower left bottom door with a sliding shelf for easy access to the printer. We also added beadboard to the back wall to tie the whole unit together. This built-in is painted with a beautiful color called “Jade Dragon” and is the perfect contrast for the white oak desk and floating shelves. The matching walnut countertop and shelves tie everything together. We went from a blank wall to this amazing fireplace wall design. I incorporated tile, shiplap, white oak hearth, mantle and floating shelves. All stained with shell grey with Rubio Monocoat . This project had a lot of phases, from trimming out the doorway, to adding a custom walnut barn door, and finally adding the built-in entertainment center. Who needs bookshelves the same depth when you could hide a secret door behind one instead?! This maximizes space, while also giving the client everything they needed. This 13’ unit includes a black walnut countertop with black walnut shelves, all matching the custom door using @rubiomonocoatusa charcoal stain.
